
Sammuel Washington, a senior, is a talented student with an intellectual curiosity. He currently is enrolled in Advanced Placement Calculus, Advanced Placement English and Honors History and Spanish. He hopes to pursue a dual major in Architectural Engineering and Mathematics. He holds a 4.2 weighted grade point average and scored a 29 on the ACT.
Sammuel is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Key Club and Ventures Club. He also is the Beta Club treasurer. He won third place in Math & Financial Analysis at the Future Business Professionals of America Southwest regional competition.
He was selected for membership in Who's Who Among American High School Students. He is a member of ROTC and the Knowledge Bowl team. He is president of Model United Nations. He served as senior class reporter and is a member of The Commercial Appeal's Teen Appeal.
He was selected to attend a prep school last summer as part of the Rotary Club's prep school program. He also is a member of the soccer team. Sammuel's commitment to community service includes working with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, MIFA, the Food Bank, Toys for Tots, the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House.
