
Leslie Overton is a partner in the law firm of Jones Day. She practices exclusively in the antitrust and government regulation areas. Her practice focuses on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, civil nonmerger investigations, and counseling. She also has litigation experience. Leslie has represented a variety of clients, including media, technology, telecommunications, and consumer products companies, as well as health care organizations.
Representative public matters include Procter & Gamble's acquisition of Gillette, TV Guide's combination with Gemstar, AOL's merger with Time Warner and its acquisition of Netscape, Bon Secours' sale of three hospitals to HMA, and Nextel's modification of a consent decree that paved the way for it to extend its network. She has also counseled Exelon, CIGNA, Viacom, and Chevron, among others.
Leslie also is active in professional activities. She is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law, where she serves on the governing council and as liaison to the ABA Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession. Leslie previously was cochair of the section's Computer and Internet Committee.
