
John W. Rogers is Founder and CEO of Ariel Capital Management, a money management firm that has grown from 2 to 100 employees with more than $19 billion in assets under management. Prior to founding Ariel Capital Management, John W. Rogers, Jr. worked for the investment banking firm of William Blair & Company. Mr. Rogers investment expertise has brought him to the forefront of media attention in The New York Times, BusinessWeek, USA Today, and Barron’s.
He has made guest appearances on television shows ranging from Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street to The Oprah Winfrey Show. Mr. Rogers graduated in 1980 with an AB in Economics from Princeton University where he was also Captain of the Varsity Basketball Team. Mr. Rogers is also actively involved in the community through a variety of civic and professional institutions. His community outreach includes serving as a Director of the Chicago Urban League, James L. Knight Foundation and St. Lukes Medical Center.
